Welcome to Aztec Speedway


Aztec Speedway, located in Aztec, NM, is a great place to experience fast family-friendly fun. The 1/3-mile, high banked, clay oval hosts Modified, Stock Car, Southern Sportmod, Hobby Stock, Mini Stock, Winged Sprint, and Late Model racing events. Come out for an exciting race night to experience fast cars, good food, cold drinks, and the kids will have a great time playing in our sturdy playground.

Mini Stocks
Mini Stocks are Growing!
 We still need more young drivers to improve this great starter class!! Start recruiting friends as we need 8 cars minimum for a full payout!! The rules have been modified to limit the money needed to be a competetor in the Minis! I have 2 Pintos legal and ready to race, one for $2,000.00 and another for $3,000.00. Call me at 505 320-7987. Non IMCA Class Update




Sprints & Dwarf Cars

Please be aware that Aztec Speedway has more safety rules than other tracks may require. In addition to the fuel cell and battery shielding excerpts from IMCA rules, we require arm restraints to be used for Dwarfs. You cannot run at Aztec unless you meet these minimum safety standards!!

17. FUEL SYSTEM: Racing fuel cell required, maximum 22 gallon capacity, must be in minimum 20 gauge steel container. Must mount with minimum two solid steel straps around entire cell, two inches wide and 0.125 inch thick, between frame rails in trunk area only. Fuel cell vents, including cap vent, must have check valves. If fuel cell does not have aircraft style positive seal filler neck/cap system - a flapper, spring or ball type filler rollover valve is required. No part of cell can be lower than protective tubing.

20. BATTERY/STARTER: One 12-volt battery only. Must be shielded and securely mounted.
