I'd love to hear something about the Vegas races, I can read who finished where, but not the good stuff! Congrats to all who participated, our locals heros did mighty fine!

Track was great, until the last night when it was locked down before the Stock Car qualifier, really quickly ran show. Lot of good clean drivers out there. LVMS made it a great show by adding a second main each night to allow twice the drivers to attempt to qualify for the big main. Not sure why they ran 30 cars per main on Thursday and Friday and only started 28 for the Big Main. Stock cars were short on cars, but not many people will come for 777 to win. Everyone seemed to be using their heads around the pits, I walked around Thursday and seen many fire extinguishers out, but still way too many people without them.

They could have given the Stock Cars more time to prepare for their main after the qualifier. By the time I got out of tech and back to my trailer I had barely enough time to fuel the car and get staged again. One stock car was running a red running light in the back window not sure why that got passed through tech.

Not sure why a track like that would have big tractor tires, I hit one Friday night and it spun me across the track. I restarted my car and was trying to turn around up the track and they still had the green light on, with cars coming right at me (really makes you freak out when the car coming for you has his nose piece and hood ticking up impairing his sight) Very poor choices on when they should be throwing the yellows there could have been alot more acciedents then there were.

I think someone a long time ago said "I know where I can get rid of them tires" and voila, racetracks started to blossom with huge tires. Frustrating...
Thanks for the details, Mike.

One must learn to grow up someday, mommy can't run around and wipe your hiney forever. Go back to the Missouri area and do some racing and then come out here to watch.......what a nation of wimps we are becoming!
